My admiration for the man stems from the fact that he brought joy to millions of people around the world, especially children. Not only that, but he remained unaffected by his fame, and acted like a mensch.
We could argue that he did reckless things at times, but this is outweighed by the joy he brought.

Little to be proud of? You obviously do not follow the war on terror.

Hi Luis,
Who do you think planned the bombings? Al Qaeda claimed responsibility at the time, and even though an investigation concluded the terrorists were "home-grown," I think it is doubtful Al Qaeda were not behind it. See this for reasons why.

Sharon,
You interested in intelligent discussion, or just wanting to take potshots? If the latter, no dice.

you commented in the episode about the man's name being jihad... it's important to note, that in spite of the word jihad being misconstrued, especially by the media, as meaning 'holy war', it actually means 'struggle', and in Islam there are two types of jihad, the greater and lesser. The greater jihad is against self (as in desire toward sin, etc.). the lesser jihad is battle, and Islamically is ONLY to be fought IN DEFENSE.
